fbxkey that I don't ever see when I do an FBX export from another program) is a CC3 problem. I think the FBX import issue I posted here (where I need to provide some. I suspect the lack of textures is an issue with Daz Studio's export functionality-either because it's confusing or just a mess. That is exactly what I'm trying to do and why I posted about the issues I'm seeing trying to import the OBJ file of the sword prop into CC3. (It asks for an "fbxkey" file, which I don't have, so I have to cancel out the import.) If I export the prop from Daz Studio as an FBX, when I try to import it into CC3 (by creating an accessory), the application seems to think I am trying to import a human figure. I suppose a related question I have is why we can't import props as FBX files. Your prop will then be opened in CC3 with all the textures from the Maps folder applied correctly. Select your exported prop OBJ from Daz Studio and click "Open". Then in CC3 select Create > Cloth, Hair, Acc from the Menu Bar. This will place all textures in a folder called Maps (check they are all there). In Daz Studio load the prop into your scene and then export to OBJ but put a check in "Collect Maps" on the Export panel. The process should be able to be completed without loading a character. Thanks for pointing them out! Mike is a gem to the community. 3 In CC3 select the transformer to select the character you just exported, once loaded you will get a small error about selecting the wrong bone you can rescale the prop and parent to a different bone in CC3. Apply the correct T Pose to the character you have choosen, right click again in the scene panel and choose select all then export as fbx make sure the fbx option are set correctly. 1 Select a character that CC3 supports from daz3d in my example I choose Genesis 2 female I also choose the ax prop, in daz3d go to the scene tab and right click and choose change parent for the prop to select the desired bone in my example I choose right hand. I have not tried this but can't you save the individual components ( IE: a sword, hair, or clothing as props or export them somehow? I'll have to look into this myself i guess because i was under the impression you can? anyway, whatever, and good luck I keep trying to export as OBJ using different variations of the "write surfaces" options just before export, but I still can't seem to get more than the diffuse texture to be exported. That thread doesn't seem to have a solution for me either, although I appreciate the link. I have a very hard time finding answers on the Daz forums.
